One of our missions here at, The Agency, is to give back to the community that we call home.
We are moved to tell you that for the month of April, we have chosen to partner with Spectrum of Solutions, whose mission “is to provide a spectrum of resources and support to our community and to the individuals with intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)”.
This organization provides Speech & Language Therapy, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Skills Intervention, Psychology Services as well as parental support. This is intended not just for adults but for adolescents as well. Spectrum of Solutions also offers Residential Programs for individuals that are able to live on their own or with other disabled residents while still having staff support to help them achieve their plans & goals in life.
TAKE IT TO THE STREETS
We are honored to have a “Day of Giving” this month when our entire team will volunteer by partnering with Spectrum of Solutions for “Fun Friday”. They provide a fun lunch and activities every Friday at their Vocational center for members to come to socialize & have fun together!
While most people have the opportunity to go to work each day, people with disabilities have an unemployment rate of over 60%. Spectrum of Solutions goal is to help their residents get jobs & be involved within the community.
